Not sure how YouTube decided that I would enjoy the content of Kelly Stamps. For a solid month, June 2020, I kept seeing this Kelly Stamps populate on the sidebar recommended videos and I ignored it. Initially the videos populated were titled telling people about blowing up on Youtube and immediately assumed that it was a sleazy Youtube tutorial on growing fast subscribers. Then I got this one video not by Kelly Stamps but ABOUT her sharing how she blew up so quickly. Because I’m human and Youtube’s algorithm knows me well, I gave in and clicked on the video out of curiosity. Well played, Youtube, well played.
Regular Skinny Awkward Girl (read: woman)
- I love how KellyStamps is overall NATURAL. She’s awkward and naturally pretty. She’s not over the top in the sense that it’s inauthentic. Her body is naturally skinny which isn’t the most seen on the internet.
- RELATABLE! It’s been such a long time where a content creator can showcase the everyday circumstances in a funny way. Again, she’s very awkward but super creative. Her content showcases the everyday mundane parts of life and makes it entertaining.
- I love her confidence in who she is even if other people don’t understand her. Regardless of age, people need to see that now more than ever. This idea of having a perfectly curated Instagram Feed and polished Youtube video editing make people appear…unreal. That “realness” is the niche she executed perfectly.
In a nutshell, she’s a break for the perfection we all have an addiction to on social media. Although she is far from a wise and strategic content creator, I still dig her because I know she’ll entertain me just by her being herself. That’s it. No gimmicks or pranks (at least not at the time of writing this post), and she is exploding on the Youtube scene.
To the skinny girls who feel that need to be someone other than themselves, be your most healthy self but please be you. Everyone else is taken. Please take some time to watch one of my long list of favorite videos from Kelly Stamps.
