As I celebrate Thanksgiving and reflect on what I’ve done this year, I started thinking about how I reached major milestones in my fitness journey and gaining weight. Although I didn’t hit 130lbs, I hit 126 – 127lbs and with major curves. At this point in my journey, I know how to control the weight. If I “want” to gain extra weight I know the exact formula for my body to get the exact body that I desire.

October 2014

October started out great as you can tell from posts on my social media profiles. It ended… at 113lbs. LOL! Literally the last week of October is when I lost two pounds. I know why.

Dear Skinny Girls,

The recent release of the Anaconda video via the popular rapper Nicki Minaj has plenty of skinny chicks in an uproar. Well, at least not THIS skinny chick. It was hard for me to take her seriously during her rant of “F**k Skinny B***HES!” Because to be honest if you really looked at Nicki Minaj very closely, you will see she’s still a skinny chick with a big butt.

The overall response has been positive because soooo many women can identify with what I went through. Listen, I know many larger women may still feel skinny women have an advantage, and I would challenge that argument. I did some light shopping this particular week because the more I eat the more expensive it is now. This particular week I also wanted to get more fresh foods because the previous week I purchased more frozen goods than normal. Remember, I always say it is about balance and nutrition. For the past month I’ve been testing out, Hemp Seed Milk. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you’re aware of my love for testing new food items because I can get bored easily with the same old same old. Plus I’m always on the hunt for a healthy alternative with plenty of calories and great taste. Well I think I found my staple milk alternative. Hemp Seed Milk.

Before trying out this milk I’ve been adding Hemp Seeds to my smoothie and salad and I love the taste.
